School Psychologist

Mercer County ESC is seeking a compassionate and team-oriented person for a full-time School Psychologist position for the 2026-2027 school year.Summary: The ideal candidate will have experience: completing comprehensive evaluations for preschool and school-age students with disabilities; supporting students, teachers and families in a MTSS/PBIS framework; working proactively with at-risk students with behavioral health challenges, and working current knowledge of best practices in special education. This position requires collaboration, organization, compassion and strong communication skills.Essential Duties: - maintain knowledge and practice of professional, legal, and ethical practices- assist to gather and analyze data for application in data-decision making for the betterment of students (interventions, tiered supports, etc.)- conduct observations, and comprehensive evaluation team reports- stay current on knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies regarding special education eligibility and programming- demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with staff and families as part of a team within the school setting- provide direct services to individuals or groups of students (e.g., counseling, crisis interventions, mentoring and individual safety plans, when appropriate)Requirements: Candidates must hold a current School Psychologist license issued by the Ohio Board of PsychologyHow to Apply: Please send the following to Nancy Davis at: [email protected].
