The Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's is seeking a Physician to continue our tradition of excellent patient care. Appointment levels available include Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or full Professor, depending on experience.

Academic appointment, rank, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and primary board certification. Compensation is highly competitive.
A Brief Overview
Provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specific patient population.
What You Will Do
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for a specified patient population.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate.
- Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components as needed.
- Train and supervise medical students and residents involved in specialty activities and procedures.
- Manage daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function if applicable.
- Coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, including quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs as appropriate.
- Maintain departmental productivity thresholds.
- Maintain faculty status with CWRU SOM if applicable.
- Adhere to core physician obligations outlined in the Physician Policy Manual.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

- Refer to departmental documentation during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
- Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) by adhering to all training, policies, and procedures, including annual training and the UH Code of Conduct.
