Tax Analyst

Our client, a large beauty retail company, is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join their team! This will be a fully remote role with a standard 40-hour work week. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment! Please no corp-to-corp applicants or third-party agencies. Sub-contracted candidates or candidates that require immediate sponsorship cannot be considered.

Role Overview:
  • Pay: $25.00/hr on W2, non-exempt
  • Contract Role: 5 months, potential to extend / convert if headcount increases
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, standard working hours
Responsibilities:
  • Recommend changes to improve the tax filing process.
  • Coordinate receipt of information from all businesses as needed for tax returns preparation
  • Reach out and research tax items from all businesses
  • Recognize tax savings opportunities for tax return preparation
  • Escalate tax errors or issues to manager
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related concentration is preferred
  • 2+ years of multi-state tax experience
  • Knowledge of payroll tax
  • Accounting background with knowledge of debits & credits
  • Large volume client experience is helpful
  • Experience with ADP SmartCompliance or Oracle HCM is highly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
