• Location: Dayton, Ohio (45409) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every 4th weekend and Thanksgiving holiday
• Call Requirement: Minimum 1–2 days per week and at least one weekend per contract
• Unit: Operating Room (OR) – surgical nursing
• Setting: Large hospital with 28 OR suites and advanced technology

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required)
• Active Registered Nurse license from any state (compact RN licenses accepted; temporary Ohio RN license can be obtained)
• BLS and CPR certifications required
• Ability to pass an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Scrub nurse experience preferred but not required
• General GYN, vascular urology, podiatry, and ortho spine surgical experience preferred
• No past license actions accepted

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes during surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Utilize Epic electronic health records for accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in call rotation and provide coverage as scheduled
• Complete required competency modules and orientation for travel nurses
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate adaptability in a large, multi-suite OR setting with advanced surgical technology
