Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Mentor, OH. This role is ideal for a hands-on industrial maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, supporting production uptime, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Maintenance Technician will support mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while helping maintain reliable equipment performance across production operations. Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform equipment inspections to identify wear, leaks, failures, and potential production concerns before they impact operations.
- Support equipment changeovers, adjustments, calibrations, installations, and commissioning of new systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation using a CMMS system.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Follow all safety standards, LOTO procedures, maintenance policies, and participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct Hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $28.00 to $36.00 per hour.
- Location: Mentor, OH.
- Openings available on three shifts:
- Monday through Friday, 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Tuesday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Weekend shifts are subject to change and may be moved to weekday coverage.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, changeovers, adjustments, and calibrations.
- Document work orders, maintenance activity, and equipment issues in a CMMS system.
- Partner with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience required, preferably in food, beverage, or chemical manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, sensors, pumps, conveyors, and robotic systems.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and CMMS software.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including LOTO procedures and company maintenance standards.

Preferred Qualifications

- Technical school, trade school, or related maintenance certification preferred.
- Experience in regulated or process-driven manufacturing environments such as food, beverage, or chemical production.
- Background supporting continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability initiatives.
