Digital Storage is adding a Key Account role to our team located just north of Columbus, in Lewis Center, Ohio. We are a wholesale distributor of removable storage media, digital cameras, accessories, and services. Our sales team is dedicated to helping customers and supplier grow their businesses, by offering excellent customer service, product availability and industry knowledge. We provide real-time services and customized, value-added offerings to consumer products retailers.
We are a small group with big potential, and this position is vital to the success of our growing business. You will be responsible for building a pipeline of new opportunities and relationships within retail, reseller, and distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Present and sell to new and existing customers.
- Generate new retail leads, request meetings & open new business.
- Proactively call & email decision makers within prospective companies.
- Qualify leads, develop new accounts in new verticals/markets.
- To be able to work as a team with other staff members and work to one common goal.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and e-mail, assisting potential customers during their evaluation process to closing the sale.
- Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of the latest products and developments.
- Assist in developing promotions, as well as, implementing systems to measure and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Add recommendations and insight for promotional marketing activities.
- Research related industry trade shows and events that may help with branding and exposure.
- Provide status reports highlighting milestones and progress in business development process.
- Achieve new account and sales goals.
- Travel will be required, generally between 30%.
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or Business Management is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-year sales experience, promotions, consumer products sales, and/or market development experience is preferred.
- Self-starter with strong initiative to learn new products lines and to work without direct supervision.
- Successful in establishing long lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
- Strategic and creative thinker.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Effective communication skills for verbal and written messaging.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Email.
Compensation
This position pays a base compensation, plus commission. First year total compensation can range anywhere from $40-60k depending on experience and sales growth.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday in office, with potential for 1 day a week work from home after 90 days and with manager approval.
Ability to commute/relocate: Lewis Center, OH 43035: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
