Facilities Electrical Reliability & Automation Engineer

Your mission
Lead the electrical and controls backbone of our facilities—improving reliability, enabling upgrades, and ensuring compliance—while empowering the maintenance team and our partners to deliver results.
Core outcomes
- Systematically evaluate facility electrical systems and automation controls via research, testing, and analysis.
- Develop robust test methods to validate capabilities and characterize system properties.
- Mentor and lead the Facility Maintenance Team to execute PMs, repairs, and continuous improvements.
- Partner with vendors, contractors, engineers, and utilities to specify, quote, and manage electrical and automation solutions end-to-end.
- Own the lifecycle of data, reporting, and technical documentation for equipment and controls.
- Support capital planning and expense budgeting with sound technical and financial input.
- Uphold federal, state, customer, quality, and safety requirements across all activities.
- Provide expert guidance on maintenance strategies, modifications, and modernization projects.
- Serve as team lead for construction initiatives and daily facility operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage multiple simultaneous projects with precision.
- Immediately communicate any Environment, Health, Safety, or Quality issues.
Skills and credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Expertise in electrical power, automation/control systems, and material applications.
- Experience with facility electrical systems and leading maintenance teams.
- Familiar with OSHA, ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Strong communicator with excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proactive leadership style with a track record of delivering under deadlines.
