Job DescriptionNorth Star Windows and Doors, a part of Cornerstone Building Brands, has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Sales Representative to deliver outstanding service to Ohio, Pennsylvania and upstate New York. The Territory Sales Representative works from their home office spending 2-3 nights a week on the road prospecting for new dealers (Lumberyards & Large Remodel Contractors).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in achieving sales goals and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage the sales process, including targeting potential customers, building relationships, developing proposals, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of the Construction Supply Industry and be familiar with windows and doors. The candidate will be required to be organized and a self-starter as this is a remote position. Understanding residential blueprints is very helpful.
Understanding the construction process is critical to being successful. This specific territory has some existing customers that will require management, however, the bulk of the time will be spent on opening up new dealers and training the new dealer's employees. A competitive nature is a must.

Compensation : Base salary of $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 plus variable bonus and car allowance. Realistic first year comp of $100-120K at 100% of plan, higher if budget is surpassed.
Responsibilities:
- Be a multi-faceted business partner that supports the needs of the organization, its business strategy and its customers.
- Increase sales of North Star products by developing new dealer leads and working closely with the existing dealer base.
- Understand sales budgets and targets and be able to create reports for the Director of Sales.
- Support the existing dealer base using some or all of the following methods:
- Train customers on quoting software.
- Assist customers in quoting.
- Educate customers on North Star products and promote new and exciting product developments as they are introduced.
- Distribute sales materials such as literature and samples to new and existing dealers.
- Keep abreast of current trends in the market by listening to customers and attending trade shows.
- Maintain good contact and communication with prospective customers using phone, email, social media.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of sales experience dealing with contractors, architects and renovators.
- Understanding the construction process.
- Strong relationship building and selling abilities.
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Reliable personal transportation, good driving record and valid drivers’ license.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory, including trade shows and meetings in Canada.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
