Job Description The Wet Grinder Set Up and Operator will utilize expertise with Chevalier Wet Grinders to process various material types, including A-2, D-2, 4142, Vanadius, and CPM. This role involves setting up and running grinding jobs to achieve precise tolerances of .001 while maintaining squareness and flatness on soft and hardened plates and blocks. The position requires technical proficiency and blueprint reading skills to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Chevalier Wet Grinders for various grinding jobs
• Grind soft and hardened plates and blocks to .001 tolerances, ensuring squareness and flatness
• Work with material types such as A-2, D-2, 4142, Vanadius, and CPM
• Read blueprints and use mics and calipers to verify specifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience with Chevalier Wet Grinders required
• Familiarity with A-2, D-2, 4142, Vanadius, and CPM material types
• Proven ability to surface grind to .001 tolerances while maintaining squareness and flatness
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and use of mics and calipers
