Insurance Project Coordinator
The Third Estimate is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Project Coordinator to help homeowners navigate the insurance restoration process from claim approval through project completion.
In this role, you'll serve as the primary point of contact between homeowners, insurance adjusters, Sales Representatives, and our Production team. You'll coordinate insurance claims, review coverage, prepare estimates, communicate project updates, and ensure every insurance restoration project moves smoothly from start to finish.

What You'll Do
- Coordinate insurance restoration projects from initial claim through project completion.
- Work directly with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and Sales Representatives throughout the claims process.
- Review insurance coverage and policy information related to property damage claims.
- Prepare estimates using Xactimate.
- Work with Sales Representatives to prepare supplements and additional documentation when needed.
- Submit, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims and supplements.
- Maintain regular communication with homeowners regarding claim status and project timelines.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and adjusters.
- Review claim documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Resolve claim-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records within CRM systems.
- Monitor project progress and assist with coordination between Sales, Production, and Customer Service.
- Stay current on insurance guidelines, industry best practices, and applicable state and local regulations.
- Understand Ohio Residential Code and applicable building requirements.
- Assist leadership with reporting and claim status updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the home improvement, restoration, roofing, construction, or insurance industry preferred.
- Knowledge of residential property insurance claims, policies, and coverages.
- Experience preparing estimates using Xactimate (Level 1 certification or equivalent experience preferred).
- Experience working with CRM systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check.
