Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Canton, OH 44708

Shift: Night Shift – 3×12 Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and acute patient management. This role requires strong clinical skills, experience with EMR systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms using telemetry systems
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately in EMR
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Participate in shift handoffs and care coordination
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety, and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License (must be in hand at submission)
• Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system (required)
• Ability to work night shifts, including every other holiday

Certifications (Required)

• BLS (AHA or equivalent)
• ACLS (AHA or equivalent)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – must be obtained prior to start
