Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a passion for cooking, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing high-quality dishes. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and plating menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items following recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following all health and safety regulations
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service
- Follow proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures
- Assist in restocking ingredients and supplies as needed
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and grilling
- Maintain a sense of urgency and attention to detail, especially during peak hours
- Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties as assigned
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
