Machine Repair Mechanic

Minutemen Staffing is looking for a Machine Repair Mechanic in the Columbus area, pay rate from $25-$28 based on experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining equipment and keeping machinery operational. The Maintenance Tech makes repairs and performs maintenance, while practicing safety awareness and minimizing risks.

POSITION DETAILS

• Maintains production and product quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and performs scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment during machine service.

• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.

• Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.

• Identifies and corrects building and equipment problems by performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC work to maintain buildings and equipment in safe condition.

• Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities at this time

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Technical training, exposure to high speed equipment

• 2+ years of related experience working with packaging and production machinery

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying climactic conditions

• Understanding of LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures

• Attention to Detail, Organizational Skills

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess flexibility

• Must be able to work as part of a team and interact with all levels of employee both within the company and with external partners
