Commodity Manager
- Develop and execute comprehensive commodity and supplier strategies that support long-term business objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement cost optimization initiatives, including value analysis and value engineering approaches.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop diverse and high-performing sources of supply across domestic and global markets.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract development to achieve balanced outcomes in cost, quality, and service.
- Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply risks to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Guide supplier performance management, including continuous improvement plans and relationship development.
- Manage commodity data, spend analytics, and performance metrics to improve visibility and outcomes.
- Support new product development initiatives by collaborating with engineering, operations, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Facilitate sourcing events such as competitive bidding and reverse auctions where appropriate.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that strengthen supply chain resilience and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or another related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a related field within a multi-site or global environment
- Tech savvy, with emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JDE/SAP/QlikView, Portal, Insight, IBEE, and Team Center.
- Knowledge of purchasing systems and principles including experience with low-cost country sourcing, auctions, VA/VE, and other leveraging tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sourcing or commodity strategies
- Experience analyzing data, market trends, and supplier performance to guide decisions
- Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives
- Familiarity with digital tools and systems used for procurement, analytics, or enterprise resource planning
- Ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships effectively
- Periodic overnight travel of 10%-20% will be required
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
