Position Overview:

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving facility systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role involves a variety of maintenance tasks, including building repairs, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving facility maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.

• Plan, schedule, and complete repairs and maintenance activities.

• Document maintenance work, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Conduct repairs on building structures and facility systems, including:

  • Plumbing.

  • Electrical systems.

  • HVAC systems.

  • Mechanical equipment.

• Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for optimal performance.

• Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems.

• Complete general building upkeep, including painting and cleaning.

• Repair office furniture, replace lighting fixtures and bulbs, and maintain common areas.

• Assist with outdoor maintenance, including clearing walkways during winter weather conditions.

• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and repair equipment.

• Participate in company safety initiatives and programs.

• Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Lead and other departments.

• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, or similar role.

Basic knowledge of:

• Building maintenance.

• Plumbing systems.

• Electrical systems.

• HVAC systems.

• Mechanical repairs.

• Working knowledge of hand and power tools, equipment, and common maintenance devices.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday

• 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

• Overtime available as needed.

Pay Rate:

$30.65 - $32.33 per hour

Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and overall skill set.
