1st Shift - Welder - Pay up to $24/hr | Canton, OH

Job Description:

Join our team as a 1st Shift Welder/Fitter, where you will perform MIG welding and fitting on Stainless, Carbon, and Aluminum materials. Your role will involve fabricating and fitting parts together from blueprints, using overhead cranes, and utilizing hand and power tools to ensure precise assembly. This position offers the opportunity to receive AWS certification if you do not already have it.

Shift Description:

• 5:30 am to 3:30 pm. Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding and fitting on Stainless, Carbon, and Aluminum.
• Fabricate and fit parts together from blueprints, using rulers for precision.
• Utilize overhead cranes to position materials and tack beams in place.
• Use hand and power tools for fitting parts together.
• Perform grinding, torch cutting, and finishing tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding on Stainless, Aluminum, and Carbon.
• Ability to read blueprints and ruler measurements accurately.
• Basic fitting and fabrication skills.
• Experience with structural steel welding.
• AWS certification or willingness to obtain.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have own tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, tape measure, and pliers.
• Minimum of 2 years working experience or graduation from welding school with AWS certifications.
• Capability in vertical welding.

Work Environment:

Work in a clean and organized environment, although it can appear unorganized due to the busy nature and spread-out units. You will be part of a team-oriented setting, collaborating with approximately 180 employees across manufacturing and office spaces. Dress code includes steel toe boots and safety glasses. Work is conducted on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
