Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Product Stewardship Associate to join our team. This role involves authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and managing the project to update SDSs in compliance with OSHA's new guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Author SDS documents for products in line with product stewardship processes and SDS update project goals.

• Create GHS label template files to accompany updated safety data sheets.

• Collaborate with customer service, sales, and product management teams to document product formulations, assess available toxicology information, and execute SDS authoring processes promptly.

• Issue final SDS documents to customer service, product managers, and customers as appropriate.

• Provide project updates and tracking as required.

• Manage and control draft and final versions of project documents.

• Upload project documents to company SharePoint and communicate final SDS versions to Emergency Response Providers like ChemTrec and InfoTrac.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and knowledge of chemical handling and safety.

• Understanding of toxicology and OSHA regulations.

• 3-5 years of product stewardship experience with a focus on SDS authoring and regulatory aspects of the chemical industry, including EPA, TSCA, OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, and DOT Hazardous Material Regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Product Stewardship, or related chemical or regulatory fields preferred.

• Experience with SDS authoring software such as UL eLite, UL WERCS Studio, or similar is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week with flexible hours (e.g., 8-4 or 9-5). The initial term is 4 to 6 months, with potential for renewal based on project timelines and progress. The role is primarily based on the facility campus, with some potential for remote work. This project focuses on updating SDSs in response to an OSHA update, with tight deadlines for compliance by January 2026 and July 2027.

This is a Contract position based out of Grove City, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
