Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Corporation in West Chester, OH seeks a Sr. Developer, IT to enhance, maintain and support computer systems and associated applications through discovery, analysis, development, testing, and implementation.

Summary of Responsibilities Troubleshoot issues and address concerns while identifying ways to improve the applications. Effectively communicate progress/problems to team members/leads. Interact with business users when gathering requirements. understanding support concerns, learning business processes, etc. Create complex program flow diagrams, model complex objects through relationship illustrations and design complex data models. Provide input and feedback to create advanced application designs. Complete tasks through development and maintenance of systems and databases objects. Apply judgment in devising program logic while selecting and adapting standard programming procedures. Conduct code review of peers while ensuring code quality and adherence. Develop, maintain, and execute unit and integration tests. Troubleshoot own work as well as others to ensure there are no problems and debug programs whenever problems arise. Develop, enhance, and support the Outside Processing Inventory Control System application code. Adapt a clear understanding of current business process and help incorporate IT solutions accordingly. Communicate support issues and resolution directly with the development team lead and keep management aware of all business impacts. Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and manage requests for changes to the systems specifications. Communicate design, functional, and technical specifications to development team lead. Work with the development team lead to set priorities and to plan activity. Provide solution planning and estimating of programs and projects as requested and discussed with the team lead or management. Minimum Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field. 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related is required. Must have 5 years of cross-functional experience working with team members, vendors, and other internal stakeholders in a heavy manufacturing organization. 5 years of experience with: Micro Focus Enterprise Server, mainframe, VMS and web based systems and architecture; JCL, Cobol, PLI, SAS, C#, and C++; Visual Studio, GIT, and ZENA; DB2, Oracle and SQL Server; developing outside processing inventory control system application code; and custom development and software development lifecycle processes. 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies.
