REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES This position reports to the Cincinnati Public Schools; Director of Device Management and is responsible for managing the audio-visual and classroom technology for the entire district, including all schools and administrative offices. The position serves as the subject matter expert on all AV and classroom technologies and the installation/ongoing support of those technologies. The position is responsible for managing vendors, vendor contracts, and contracted resources. The position is responsible for providing the district with a strategic vision of AV and classroom tech. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field or equivalent experience. CTS Certification Experience: Minimum 5 years in the A/V Industry Experience installing, commissioning and servicing Audio/Visual Systems. Proficiency in Audio/Visual Design Project Management and A/V Service management experience Construction-level experience (single-line drawings, reflected ceiling diagrams, as-builts, etc...) Experience managing Digital Signage Software, hardware installations and service support. SPECIAL SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, AND EXPERIENCE - Experience installing, commissioning and servicing Audio/Visual Systems
- Proficiency in Audio/Visual Design
- Project Management and A/V Service management experience
- Construction-level experience (single-line drawings, reflected ceiling diagrams, as-builts, etc...)
- Experience managing Digital Signage Software, hardware installations and service support
- Experience managing people and business operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects, and priorities to deliver on commitments on time
- Ability to provide administrative guidance within the area of responsibility, providing direct training and supervision as needed
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities
- Ability to integrate resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes
- Ability to communicate effectively orally, by phone, in person, and in writing
- Ability to work effectively with outsourced resources
- Ability to express complex technical ideas in an understandable manner
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and work with teammates to share knowledge of new technology
- Passion for new technology and desire to stay in front of emerging technology and share with Device Management and Learning Technology Team
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES This position will have the following job responsibilities: Daily Operations - Manage day-to-day service workflow for A/V, Digital Signage, and Scoreboards
Installation and Design - Manage all new installations/renovations
- Subject Matter Expert
- Design any non-bid installations
- Select all equipment to be installed, create and provide rack layouts and drawings where applicable
Develop and Manage RFPs - Write Audio Visual RFPs
- Project design
- Develop budget for project
Digital Signage - Manage rollout of RiseVision service to all CPS locations
- Purchase of players, installation of monitors, running of the network drops
- ?Integration of the software with the Clear Touch devices throughout the district
Scoreboards - Manage indoor/outdoor scoreboard service
Data Cabling Adds - Manage service contract with the vendor that provides CPS (1) full-time technician assigned for drops for copiers/printers, WAPs, projectors, interactive boards, digital signage players
Equipment Refresh - Manage ongoing refresh of Audio/ Visual and Digital Signage equipment district wide
- Redesign of spaces when applicable, as well as the purchase of required material
- District-Wide Classroom Sound Refresh
- Gymnasium and Cafe Performance Sound
- Digital Signage Refresh
- Classroom Display Refresh
Tech Sweep of End of Life Equipment Professional Development - Coordinate PD for new A/V technology
System Admin/Manage software licensing - Serve as system admin for Clear Touch and Command
- Manage Snowflake Licensing
