Position: Seeking a principal with the desire and ability to lead a staff in educating an immigrant population at historic St. Mary K-8 Catholic School in Wooster, Ohio.
Enrollment: 125 students
9 full-time teachers
3 part-time teachers
1 secretary
Academic/Professional
Requirements:
•Master’s Degree (preferably in Educational Administration)
- Standard Elementary Principal Certificate/License
- Successful teaching experience (3 – 5 years) at the elementary level
- Understanding of Catholic Theology and Philosophy of Catholic education
- Three letters of recommendation pertaining to qualifications
- Leadership experience preferred
Personal Requirements:
- Servant leader with a love for working with students and families
- Practicing Catholic with a personal philosophy, value, and lifestyle, which are consistent with a position of leadership in a Catholic school
- Ability to work collaboratively with parish administration, faculty, staff, parents and parish organizations
- Ability to maintain consistent, positive discipline, respecting each person as well as an appreciation of cultural differences
- Ability to articulate and implement a vision for the school in areas of curriculum, outreach and technology
- Ability to create an atmosphere of welcome and open dialogue
- Experience with school finance/budget requirements and government programs
