Job Title: EDM Operator

Job Description

We are seeking skilled EDM Operators to join our team, responsible for setting up and operating electro-discharge machines. The role involves inspecting parts for quality, interpreting blueprints, troubleshooting machinery defects, and maintaining high production efficiency. Operators will work with both conventional and 5-axis EDM machines in a production facility known for its custom-built Haas machines.

Responsibilities

• Load and set up parts in machines.
• Inspect parts for quality during order execution using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Set up and operate EDM machines effectively.
• Perform quality inspections and interpret blueprints and drawings accurately.
• Troubleshoot and fix defects in machinery.
• Prepare logs and records to document machine operation and daily production.
• Set up and switch jobs as required, with training provided.
• Achieve more than 98% efficiency in daily production.

Essential Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in CNC or other metal machine operation.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other measurement devices and tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Verification of eligibility to work in the US.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Aerospace experience is a plus.
• Previous EDM experience is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
