Job Summary
A Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. Servers act as the main point of contact between customers and the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and make them feel welcome
- Present menus and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Enter orders into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally
- Process payments (cash, credit, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Customer-focused attitude
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience
- Familiarity with POS systems (Specifically Clover)
- Knowledge of food safety practices
Work Environment
- Fast-paced restaurant setting
- May require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Standing and carrying trays for extended periods
