Hours of Job
- Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Full time, 72 hours per pay period
- No weekends or holidays required
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary clinical personnel.
- Places the patient at the center of care.
- Collaborates and interacts positively with providers and other medical practice staff to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
- May be required to support clinical colleagues according to patient volumes/acuity.
- Completes clinical assessments of the patient by completing a history of present disease and illnesses with accuracy and documents appropriately in the patient's electronic medical record.
- Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in implementing physician orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, physicians, co-workers and public.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or will be graduating in 6 months of hire. Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA or other certifying body as deemed acceptable by the Practice Manager or will obtain this credentialing within 6 months of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed LPN.
Experience
- Previous experience with electronic medical records
- Previous experience in a Pediatric office is preferred, but not required.
