Process Technician

Responsibilities:

• Consistently wears all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adheres to all plant and equipment safety protocols.

• Maintains and services auxiliary equipment, including mold temperature controllers, material dryers, compressors, conveyors, and material loaders.

• Performs a wide range of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of production machinery and facility equipment.

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical issues, replaces or repairs faulty components, and conducts functional tests and adjustments.

• Utilizes basic machinist skills as needed for maintenance and repair work.

• Operates a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

• Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions, defective materials, or unusual operating conditions to appropriate supervision.

• Operates and maintains automated molding equipment with a hands-on approach.

• Monitors machinery and makes necessary setting adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

• Complies with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and plant safety requirements.

• Follows established procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Conducts mold setups and changeovers.

• Performs machine start-ups and shutdowns according to established protocols.

• Troubleshoots common molding issues such as splay, contamination, short shots (NFOs), and material inconsistencies.

• Executes scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Conducts routine quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications.

• Participates in plant floor safety initiatives and supports compliance with all equipment and operational safety standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in manufacturing processes, machine design, robotics, process design, and CAD required.

• Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to take initiative.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Pay: $23+/hr
Schedule: 2nd Shift
