Mainframe Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Developer for a Contract onsite role in Columbus, OH . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Mainframe applications, DB2 development, CICS administration, and overall mainframe operations. This role will support development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for critical enterprise systems.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mainframe Developer job responsibilities include:

• Developing, enhancing, and maintaining mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related technologies

• Supporting DB2 database development, query optimization, and performance tuning activities

• Handling CICS administration tasks including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting

• Assisting with production support, root‑cause analysis, and incident resolution

• Performing mainframe job scheduling, batch cycle support, and environment stability efforts

• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth integration of application changes and system updates

Desired Qualifications:

• 6–8 years of hands‑on mainframe development experience

• Strong experience with DB2 Application Development , DB2 Administration, and CICS Administration

• Knowledge of JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and mainframe utilities

• Ability to analyze, debug, and troubleshoot complex mainframe application issues

• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a fast‑paced onsite environment

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
