Visitor Services Assistant (Part-Time, Seasonal - 1099 Contract)
The Morgan County Visitor Center is seeking a friendly, dependable Visitor Services Assistant to help welcome guests and share information about all that Morgan County has to offer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, has an interest in tourism, and is comfortable juggling retail and light marketing tasks. Key Responsibilities- Greet and assist visitors to the Morgan County Visitor Center
- Provide accurate and engaging information about local attractions, events, dining, and outdoor recreation
- Operate a point-of-scale (POS) system and assist with retail sales
- Handle cash and maintain accurate sales records
- Assist with retail inventory, restocking, and organization
- Create and post basic social media content to promote Morgan County tourism and Visitor Center offerings
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional Visitor Center enviroment
Position Details
- Part-Time, approximately 20 hours per week
- $13 per hour
- *Seasonal Position *(April 6th-October 31st)
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Contract Position (1099)
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable handling cash and using POS system
- Basic social media knowledge (Facebook/Instagram preferred)
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Interest in Morgan County and local tourism is a plus
