Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 16 weeks (options for 13 weeks or flexible end dates)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: February 9, 2026
• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts/week (rotating days/nights or nights only; 7:00am–7:30pm or 7:00pm–7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Oncology MICU (24 beds, average daily census 23)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$1990

MICU Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state license)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficient with EPIC electronic charting system
• Two professional references (including one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients, including those with oncologic emergencies, respiratory failure, sepsis, and multi-system organ failure
• Manage advanced therapies: mechanical ventilation, CRRT, arterial and cardiac monitoring, chemotherapy administration
• Perform advanced nursing procedures: IV starts, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
• Participate in clinical trials and support patients during specialized procedures such as bronchoscopy and endoscopy
