Bilingual School Based Therapist (Spanish)

Salary range is $47,000 - $55,000 per year depending on relevant education, experience, and licensure.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling, an LSW, LPC or MFT is required
- Bachelor level licensed social workers who have diagnostic and clinical experience will be considered.
- Prior experience in the delivery of mental health services in the school/community to children and families with complex needs is essential.
- This position requires flexibility of schedule and ability to travel in response to the needs of families.
AGENCY SUMARY:
Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are hiring a Clinical Therapist to join our School Based team and provide assessments, behavioral health counseling, and consultative services. Services to be provided primarily in the school but also in the community and home setting during non-school time. Schools are located on both east and west sides of Cleveland and surrounding suburbs. We have full time, part time and PRN positions available.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy, therapeutic behavioral support (TBS), Community Psychiatric Supportive treatment (CPST).
- Provide therapeutic service including clinical case management, consultation (to students, parents, and school staff), and prevention topics and groups for children and families to assist clients and families with skill development, anger management, managing mental, emotional and behavior symptomology.
- Work collaboratively with school administration and staff in the school setting to provide them, as well as the identified students with consultative support.
