Corporate Accounts Receivable

The Fremont Company has a career opportunity for a Corporate Accounts Receivable Specialist in Fremont, Ohio . This position will be part of our Corporate Accounting Team, and report directly to our Corporate Accounting Manager.

Qualified candidates should have previous experience with cash applications, researching payment discrepancies, and resolving payment issues. Other job duties would include:

• Daily cash application process, includes coding/posting payments received for both AR and NON-AR transactions
• Utilize customer portals to retrieve remittance detail and deduction support
• Conducts research to verify the validity of account payment discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service department, logistics, outside carriers, customers, and other business partners.
• Resolves valid/invalid or authorized/unauthorized deductions.
• Assist in collections efforts as tasked by management by examining customer terms, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with sales representatives
• Maintains accurate records consistent with current accounting practices and filing system. Uses company ERP system to process transactions.
• Performs additional assignments as directed by Management

Qualified candidates should have the following basic qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Business or related field (preferred but not required)
• Minimum of two (2) years of accounts receivable or similar office/accounting experience
• Attention to detail, planning and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
• Financial software experience (ERP). Must be able to demonstrate previous experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to interact with others in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
