Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of IEPs, instructional strategies, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methodologies to support a range of learning styles and abilities
- Monitor student progress, collecting data to inform instruction and update IEP goals
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues regarding student growth and challenges
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and self-advocacy
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a collaborative school culture
