J ob Description - Assembler

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years experience in mechanical assembly work. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position.

Job Responsibilities - Assembler

• Assemble simple to complex mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings while following manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation
• Inspect parts, as necessary using the proper measuring tools. Micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Maintain proper project documentation
• Operate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need be
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Provided strong customer support on a as need basis
• Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by IPS
• Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.

Desired S k ills & Experience - Assembler

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of mechanical assembly work
• Advanced ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications
• Intermediate math skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Well organized with an aptitude for details
• Experience with using different types of pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools
• Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance
• Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments
• Machining experience and knowledge is a plus
