Temporary Campaign Marketing and Social Media Specialist
Job Overview The Temporary Campaign Marketing and Social Media Specialist will work to drive the Workers First Campaign in the digital sphere through organic and paid social media efforts and engaging with influencers. The campaign will work to shift the scale in favor of working people and their families to achieve social and economic justice . Campaign staff are expected to uphold and drive the mission of the Union throughout the course of their work.
Duties
- Creating and implementing campaigns for digital and social media platforms to increase both paid and earned engagement
- Identify industry influencers and how to best communicate and collaborate with those influencers to spread Workers First messaging
- Work with others to develop the Workers First podcast through filming members, identifying speakers, and building awareness for the podcast on social media and other platforms
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for social media and content marketing (text, email, podcast, blogs, etc.)
- Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and social media best practices, including microtargeting, to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns
- Find new ways to elevate a Workers First agenda across all platforms and create individualized content appropriate for those platforms
- Ability to carry out assignments in a competent and timely manner while exhibiting high levels of professionalism
- High level knowledge of content marketing, digital and social media platforms, campaign organizing practices, and public relations management

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field and /or 3-4 years of relevant experience
- Proficiencey in Microsoft office, specifically MS Excel
- Proficiency in writing
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, Bluesky, TikTok)
- Prior experience with Google Ads and other advertising platforms
- Prior experience with social media management and/or planning
- This position requires some day and overnight travel
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license
- Must pass a criminal background check
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
