American Excelsior Company is actively seeking a Rebaler Operator to join our 2nd Shift Erosion Control Division (ESD) team. Our Norwalk branch is expanding and looking to grow its team of valued production associates to run a brand new machine in our Erosion Control department. These positions are entry level with many opportunities for growth and development. Come be a part of a stable, established, and growing company!
Key Responsibilities- Prep and organize strings and other raw materials in work area
- Operate horizontal baler machines and associated waste conveyors
- Sweep and shovel straw waste into horizontal baler through use of waste conveyor
- Tie off, package, and palletize completed rebales
- Dispose of all scrap waste bale materials (string) and other trash into trash dumpster
- Clean/sweep straw chaff around horizontal baler and waste conveyor areas
- Participates in daily 5S cleaning procedures of production floor
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 10+ hour shift
- At least 18 years of age
- Starting wage is $19.05 per hour
- $1.50/hr shift premium = $20.55/hr for worked hours
