Job Description
Cintas is seeking a Senior Counsel I – Government Contracts to join its Legal and Compliance Department. In this role, you will provide day-to-day legal support to the Company with a primary focus on government contract review, negotiation, and compliance. You will serve as a trusted legal advisor to business partners across the organization, partnering closely with sales leadership and customer-facing teams to support public sector business opportunities while helping to manage legal and compliance risk associated with federal, state, and local government contracting.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate new and renewed contracts with federal, state, and local government entities.
Partner with customers and sales teams to support requests for proposals (RFPs) and other public sector opportunities.
Provide legal guidance and support to sales leadership on government contracting matters.
Assist in training sales partners on government contract terms, conditions, and requirements.
Advise on contract compliance matters and support the implementation of process improvements, systems, and procedures.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting public sector contracting activities.
Skills/Qualifications
Required
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Admitted to a state bar
- 4+ years’ full-time responsible, relevant legal experience
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel extensively and on very-short notice
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and intranet/internet
