At Howmet Aerospace’s Engines Products – Cleveland Operations (Tempcraft) located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd., Cleveland, you’ll spend your day building the molds and dies that make next‑generation aero engine and industrial gas turbine components possible. From translating blueprints into a machining plan to holding ultra‑tight tolerances, you’ll take a part from concept to precision reality—often juggling multiple builds at once.

A day in the toolroom

• Study design blueprints and map out your die/mold build strategy.
• Set up and run manual equipment with an emphasis on vertical milling machines (Bridgeport) and surface grinders.
• Operate additional equipment as needed: manual grinders, saws, EDM (wire and sinker—Sodick, Agie Charmilles), and vertical lathe.
• Measure, verify, and document your own work to very close tolerances using handheld gauges.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Programming at each stage of manufacturing.
• Maintain your personal toolkit and toolbox and keep a safe, compliant workspace aligned with Corporate EHS, Quality, and HR standards.
• Balance multiple product builds concurrently without sacrificing precision.

Shifts

We have 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities.

• 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am
• 3rd shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 pm – 5:30 am

Qualifications

Basic

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred

• Hands‑on experience machining a range of metals.
• Working knowledge of speeds, feeds, step‑downs, and cutting tools.
• Ability to read and use handheld measuring tools accurately.
