Assistant Dining Room Supervisor
Job Title : Dining Room Supervisor
Reports to : Dietary Manager/Food Service Director
: The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations in a senior living community, ensuring that meals are served in a timely and efficient manner, and maintaining a high level of customer service. The supervisor will manage a team of servers, ensure that the dining area is clean and organized, and monitor inventory levels.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and supervise dining room staff, ensuring that they are trained and adhere to policies and procedures
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, ensuring that orders are placed in a timely manner
- Ensure that the dining room is clean and organized, and that tables are set up properly
- Ensure that meals are served on time, and that food is of high quality
- Greet residents and guests, and ensure that they have an enjoyable dining experience
- Monitor resident satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create menus and special events
- Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the maintenance team
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment by following sanitation and safety procedures
- Attend meetings and trainings as required
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a dining room or restaurant setting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- ServSafe certification preferred
