Systems Architect - Cloud Modernization
Are you a developer-turned-architect with a passion for transforming legacy systems into modern, cloud-native powerhouses? A leading regional industry leader is seeking a Systems Architect to help shape the future of our application and infrastructure landscape. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in modernizing legacy platforms (some 10+ years old) and transitioning them to Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate closely with application developers, business stakeholders, and external partners to design scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions. This is an ideal role for a senior software professional with a strong .NET background who is ready to drive high-level architectural strategy while staying grounded in technical execution.

education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Modernization & Migration: Lead the architectural evolution of legacy C# .NET and SQL Server applications, guiding their transition from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Cloud Architecture: Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure system architectures primarily within Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS).
- Collaborative Design: Partner with development teams throughout the SDLC to provide guidance on APIs, web services, and consistent deployment patterns.
- Security & Performance: Embed security, high availability, and compliance best practices into every design, ensuring robust enterprise-grade solutions.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design standards.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Align technical solutions with business objectives, communicating complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Extensive experience with Linux/LAMP, Microsoft SQL Server, and .NET development (including .NET Core). - Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Azure DevOps for CI/CD and version control. - 4+ years of experience in application development or systems architecture. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and IIS. - Demonstrated ability to analyze legacy codebases and plan effective migration paths to modern environments.
