Essential Functions and Primary Duties Present financial reports at the Board meetings and provide monthly financial reports to the School Sponsor. Manage cash as an authorized bank account user and process accounts payable on the school's behalf. Record funds received by the school, make any necessary deposits (infrequent). Reconcile cash accounts. Monitor investment policies established by the Board. Responsible for the School's record keeping and accounting in its entirety. Prepare required ODE reporting. Complete EMIS sheet (OH schools only). Respond to requests/questions from board, legal counsel, and sponsors. Securing and setting up new clients/schools Semi-Annual Activities Budgets/budget revisions Forecasts/forecast revisions Federal Grant Audits Annual Activities Assist in the revision of policies ODE Fiscal Data input Prepare for annual audits/answer questions as needed Final approval of annual 1099 submission Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance/experience that meet the state department of education treasurer's license requirements Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field Obtain or have a treasurer's license - hold license or have ability to obtain within 6 months. Obtains a board-approved treasurer's bond 3-5 years experience with schools Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 8 years experience in public accounting or related field 5 years supervisory Must have active CPA or equivalent certification Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally Proficient use of applicable technology Must be able to travel based on business needs #LI-AG1 #LI-Hybrid CBIZ.Jobs Category: Advisory REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION If you are a qualified individual with a disability you may request reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access this site as a result of your disability.
