Job Title: IT Applications Operations Support Engineer

Job Summary

The role is responsible for supporting IT applications operations teams by implementing and maintaining effective monitoring and event management solutions. This includes ensuring that processes and tools are optimized for distributed applications across local, cloud-based, and virtualized environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain tools, automation, and frameworks for monitoring, batch processing, and reporting.
• Install, configure, and maintain deployments across a mixed-platform environment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, apply patches, and upgrade software packages as needed.
• Implement efficient event management processes and automation strategies.
• Configure and manage centralized monitoring platforms.
• Conduct daily health checks and provide break/fix support for monitoring systems.
• Engineer and support monitoring tools and infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate in-house solutions for data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
• Maintain and support third-party monitoring solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, escalate incidents, and resolve problems effectively.
• Design, upgrade, and support production monitoring tools.
• Evaluate emerging batch and monitoring technologies periodically.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in IT operations and systems administration.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming and engineering infrastructure for batch and monitoring tools.

Skills

• Core Technologies: Oracle, Linux, Dynatrace, Splunk
• Preferred Experience: MTS (Message Transport System)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
