Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Training Team in an organized and professional manner.
  • Responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide administrative support for new hire orientation and conducting Our Promise virtual orientation sessions.
  • Schedule trainings, distribute materials, and email communications.
  • Maintain and proactively update the training department calendars.
  • Generate and communicate reporting for agency training attendance, including CEU courses via the external platform CE Broker
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries through the agency's training mailbox in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for obtaining American Red Cross Instructor certification and facilitating monthly First Aid, CPR, and AED sessions at the Columbus office location.
  • Responsible for appropriate set up of training areas, and the availability of adequate supplies. Also responsible for the maintenance of training equipment including manikins and other required materials.
  • Maintain positive and professional presence as a member of the administrative staff of OhioGuidestone. Assist employees with questions and direct employees to the appropriate contacts within the agenc Maintain compliance with Iicensing requirements for training sessions presented.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Maybe involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Training Assistants must be able to perform and teach CPR and First Aid. This involves lifting manikins, bending, kneeling, and dexteri
  • Must be free of communicable diseases when training.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or 3 years of experience in office management
  • Confidence in training facilitation.
  • Travel: this role may require some travel to regional office in Columbus to conduct training
  • Strong proofreading skills and ability to communicate professionally in written format.
  • High degree of cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Effective interpersonal skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people
  • Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
  • Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and perform work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
  • Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required.
