Summary
Provides high level administrative support to the school director. Manages the general operation of the school office and deals with problems that arise. Performs work of a confidential nature. Maintains school files and appointments. Coordinates human resources functions for all members of the school. Oversees budget operations. Plans and coordinates school events.
Essential Functions
- Manage office administrative and auxiliary functions. Organizes and coordinates meetings for the director; secures meeting location. Prepares agendas and/or other documentation for distribution as needed. Attends meetings, prepare minutes and distribute.
- Maintain school files, documentation, personnel files, contracts, appointments, and other records, with careful attention to confidentiality.
- Coordinates human resource functions for all members of the unit, including position descriptions, faculty and staff searches, contracts, salary increases, paperwork for Human Resources and the Provost's office.
- Research and analyze data, prepare and/or edit reports, presentations, policies, etc. Resolve administrative inquiries and problems within the unit and with other University offices.
- Plans, organizes, and carries out school events.
- Assist with other functions of the school office as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience
- One to two years related experience required; must include progressive administrative experience
Education
- High school diploma or GED required

Ability to operate computers and peripheral equipment such as printers
Ability to draft office correspondence
Ability to maintain confidential records appropriately
