WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE

You serve as the driving force behind property maintenance by coordinating daily operations, managing emergency repairs, and maintaining preventative maintenance systems that keep communities running smoothly. You supervise and develop the maintenance team, guiding the Assistant Maintenance Manager, assigning work strategically, and reinforcing accountability through consistent leadership. You also ensure regulatory and inspection readiness by overseeing compliance with HUD/NSPIRE standards, managing capital projects, and safeguarding the condition and value of properties across the portfolio.

You will manage maintenance over 5 properties throughout Geauga County: Chardon, Middlefield, Newbury, and Chagrin Falls. We also inspect units for the HCV Program in Geauga County.

THE FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MANAGER WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role follows a 7 am–4 pm Monday through Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities and is ideal for a proven maintenance leader who brings both technical knowledge and people leadership.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance operations
• Supervisory experience, preferably in multi-unit residential or public housing environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HUD/public housing programs, including familiarity with inspections such as REAC/NSPIRE and related compliance standards
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or EPA certification)
• Prior experience managing budgets, capital projects, or contractor oversight in a multi-unit setting
