Now Hiring for Two Skilled Trades Roles

We are seeking experienced Journeyman Millwrights and Journeyman Tool & Die Makers to support production, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts across the facility. Candidates may be considered based on Journeyman card status or equivalent transferable experience .

Position 1: Journeyman Millwright

Position Summary

The Journeyman Millwright plays a critical role in maintaining, repairing, installing, and improving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to support plant operations and production uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment

• Overhaul machinery including bearings, clutches, cylinders, conveyors, and motors

• Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and fabrication as required

• Install, align, level, and relocate industrial machinery using hoists, forklifts, and cranes

• Fabricate, assemble, and maintain air, water, and coolant piping systems

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs

• Install and repair electrical fixtures, motors, switches, relays, breakers, and power cables

• Troubleshoot single- and three-phase systems (120/208/240/480V)

• Use lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate replacement parts

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings

• Maintain accurate maintenance records using computerized systems

• Follow all safety procedures and industrial standards

Millwright Skills & Experience

• Journeyman Millwright or Maintenance Machine Repairer card or equivalent experience

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, boilers, and high-voltage systems

• Motor replacement, repair, and maintenance experience

• Blueprint and schematic reading proficiency

• Forklift license (must obtain company-issued certification)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended periods on feet

Position 2: Journeyman Tool & Die Maker

Position Summary

The Journeyman Tool & Die Maker supports production by building, repairing, resurfacing, and rebuilding dies , including precision machining, grinding, EDM programming, and apprentice training.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate, drill, tap, and mill parts to ±.001" tolerances using vertical mills with DROs

• Machine complex pockets and shapes using indicators and edge finders

• Drill and mill hardened materials using carbide tooling

• Perform basic lathe work including shafts, shoulders, and “V” threads

• Dress surface grinding wheels for complex radii and angular forms

• Precision grind flat and angled surfaces to clean intersections

• Perform lap fitting for press fits and die button draft

• Build new dies or rebuild existing dies from engineering drawings

• Resurface production dies including sharpening and shut-height adjustments

• Write and modify complex Wire EDM programs using ordinate dimensions

• Rebuild dies without drawings and document changes for engineering updates

• Train and mentor apprentices

• Complete all required paperwork and follow shop rules and quality policies

Tool & Die Requirements

• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker card required

  • OR willingness to complete apprenticeship program to obtain card

• Must supply required machinist tools (micrometers, indicators, sine bar, parallels, die jacks, etc.)

• Strong blueprint reading, layout, and precision measurement skills

• Professional attitude with strong verbal and written communication
