Job Title: Mill Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Operator for both 1st and 2nd shifts. The role involves training on the 1st shift for 2-3 months. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up and operating milling machines, specifically with TC-30 machines using Fagor controls. Experience with Milacron or Fagor controls is highly desired, along with the ability to edit programming on the machine.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various CNC machines, including both mill and lathe machines.
• Work in a job shop environment with large CNC machines, handling run times that can vary up to 6-8 hours.
• Perform machine setups and tooling changes every shift.
• Read blueprints and use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Work with tolerances of +/- 0.001.
• Utilize G&M codes and edit programs at the machine using MasterCAM and Solidworks.
• Operate manual machines and grinders as needed.
• Work with Fanuc and Fagor controls.

Essential Skills

• 6-8 years of CNC Machining experience.
• Experience in setting up machines and performing tooling changes.
• Proficiency in completing program edits using G&M codes.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Job shop experience as opposed to production machining.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Experience in holding tolerances of +/- 0.001.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with MasterCAM or Solidworks.
• Experience operating both mill and lathe machines.

Work Environment

This position is based in a machine shop job shop that is not climate controlled. The environment is dynamic, with a focus on custom, one-off machining work rather than mass production.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
