Position Overview:

The Distribution Manager plays a critical role in the smooth operation of field and warehouse logistics. This individual will oversee the movement, storage, and delivery of HVAC and plumbing materials to project sitesensuring timely, cost-effective, and organized distribution to support construction schedules. This is a hands-on, leadership role requiring excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily distribution operations, including inventory control, staging, deliveries, and returns.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, purchasing, and field teams to align material flow with jobsite needs.
• Schedule and optimize delivery routes and timing to minimize downtime and delays.
• Maintain accurate records of material transfers, deliveries, and equipment.
• Supervise warehouse staff and drivers; provide training, support, and performance oversight.
• Monitor and enforce safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards in the warehouse and during transit.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot shortages, delays, or damaged goods.
• Track and report key metrics related to delivery efficiency, material costs, and inventory turnover.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in construction distribution, logistics, or warehouse managementpreferably in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical contracting.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and jobsite logistics.
• Proven leadership ability and team supervision experience.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with delivery tracking systems, inventory software, and MS Office Suite.
• CDL or ability to drive box trucks and forklifts is a plus.
