Principal (Full-time)

Faith Islamic Academy (FIA) , a K-8 private school officially chartered in the State of Ohio, invites applications and nominations for the position of Principal . FIA is a full-time elementary and middle school that began in 2002 by the Islamic Society of Akron and Kent (ISAK). FIA is in the Islamic Community Center on 152 E Steels Corners Rd in Cuyahoga Falls. The school aims to provide cutting-edge academic education and strong moral values rooted in a sound Islamic foundation.

The successful candidate must provide vision and leadership to guide the school's efforts to continue its upward trajectory, to help provide a premier educational experience to FIA students, and help design and execute an implementation plan for FIA’s strategic mission and educational goals.

Function

The Principal of FIA is primarily responsible for providing central administrative leadership for the school and all its core and ancillary programs. The individual in this position will be responsible for coordinating programming, maintaining quality control and delivery of existing programs, and developing opportunities for collaborative efforts with other educational organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

• A terminal academic degree (not necessarily a doctorate) and a strong record of academic and other accomplishments qualify him/her to be a school leader.
• Demonstrated written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Administrative experience and professional demeanor.
• US citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Principal certification or equivalent
• Ability to guide and inspire an organization.
• A track record of increasing administrative responsibility and leadership experience.
