A day in the life
You start your shift walking the foundry floor, eyes and ears tuned to the heartbeat of the equipment. A die cast machine needs a PLC parameter check, a pneumatic cylinder is due for a seal inspection, and an operator has flagged a hydraulic pressure fluctuation. You diagnose, repair, and keep production humming—safely and efficiently.
What you’ll tackle
- Install, service, and troubleshoot PLC controls that drive our production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Perform broad foundry maintenance, including electrical work and plumbing.
- Jump in on additional tasks as needed to support uptime.
What helps you succeed
- Comfort working with electrical systems up to 480-volt, 3-phase.
- Hands-on troubleshooting from 5-volt DC through 480-volt AC.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Plumbing experience for routine and corrective maintenance.
- Familiarity with ABB, Motoman, and Rimrock robots is a plus.
- PC skills to go online for diagnostics and troubleshooting are helpful.
- Ability to use RS5 and RS500 logics.
- Die casting background preferred.
- Reliability with strong attendance and teamwork.
- Comfort working in varying temperatures and a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate across shifts and teams.
