THE SUPERINTENDENT OPPORTUNITY

Keystone Local Schools seeks a collaborative, student-centered leader to serve as its next Superintendent. The Board of Education is committed to identifying a leader who will build upon the district's strengths while guiding Keystone through future opportunities and challenges.

The Superintendent works closely with the Board of Education to implement the district's vision, strategic priorities, and educational mission. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead with integrity, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and foster a culture focused on student achievement and continuous improvement.

The Board seeks a Superintendent who will:

• Provide clear instructional and organizational leadership that prioritizes student success
• Build strong relationships with staff, families, and the Keystone community
• Work collaboratively with the Board of Education to advance district priorities
• Lead strategic planning and long-term district initiatives
• Maintain responsible financial stewardship in partnership with the district Treasurer
• Support staff development and foster a positive, high-performing district culture
• Communicate openly and transparently with all stakeholders

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Ohio Superintendent license
• Demonstrated leadership experience in public education administration
• Strong instructional leadership and commitment to academic excellence
• Experience working effectively with boards of education and district leadership teams
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience with strategic planning and organizational leadership
• Understanding of school finance and operational management
• Commitment to transparency, integrity, and community engagement

COMPENSATION

The Board of Education will offer a competitive multi-year contract. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and leadership background.

SEARCH TIMELINE

• Initial Interviews (Finding Leaders): April, 2026
• Board Interviews: April 13, 2026
• Final Interviews: Week of April 27, 2026
• Contract Approval: By May 6, 2026
• Start Date: August 1, 2026 or sooner
• Transition Plan begins: August 1, 2026 or earlier
