Service Technician 1st Shift

Job Description: Mechanic / Service Technician Job Summary: As a Mechanic / Service Technician, you will be repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining equipment and related accessories. A successful candidate will have prior training and/or experience performing equipment installation either in the truck equipment or related industries such as agricultural or industrial. You must have a good understanding of basic automotive electrical and hydraulics. Major Duties Responsibilities Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues and determine root causes Utilize hand and power tools such as drill, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders, etc. Run diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment and complete repairs with minimal supervision Value customer relations and provide efficient attention to customer requirements. Interact with the parts manager to ensure all parts required to per form assigned jobs are correct. Be team oriented and possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Maintain a clean an d organized work area. Essential Skills Experience Must be a U.S citizen or a permanent resident to be eligible for this position. 2-5year previous experience preferred. Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, powertrain components, and electrical systems P rovide proper diagnosis and repair of vehicles and related equipment . Basic knowledge of hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems . Ability to operate a plasma cutter and oxygen/acetylene torch . Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. Safety Environmental Factors: All employees are expected to adhere to the companys safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
