JJS Design and Build is a Custom Cabinet and millwork business, specializing in high-end custom design and construction of residential and commercial projects.

We are looking for a qualified Cabinet Maker/Laminator to cut, fabricate and install wooden cabinets and other structures according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce quality and functional products.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in all the aspects of cabinet making, including cutting, laminating, and installation. Must be able to read and understand shop drawings/blueprints and have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Being able to work with little supervision is essential. Experience in high-end furniture is a plus.

Responsibilities

· Read drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements

· Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

· Build, repair and assemble cabinets, shelves, and drawers and other items and install them where designated

· Apply laminate and veneer, rout, and file as needed.

Requirements

· Minimum 3 years' experience in woodworking and general assembly techniques

· Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials

· Excellent understanding of carpentry problem-solving techniques and methods of installation and construction

· Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools

· Ability to read technical documents and drawings

· Must be able to achieve results in an accurate and timely manner

· Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers, and others

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
